Welcome to Tourism & Historic Buildings. Tourism is a horizontal issue. Major partners include the Austrian National Tourist Office, the Austrian Economic Chamber, the Austrian Hotel and Tourism Bank, etc.

The Ministry represents the Republic of Austria in all matters concerning the following entities:

• Schönbrunn Zoo GmbH;
• entity managing two country palaces (Schlosshof and Niederweiden) in the vicinity of Vienna Marchfeldschlösser Revitalisierungs- und BetriebsgesmbH;
• entity managing Schönbrunn Palace and other exhibition tracts Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsgesellschaft mbH, and
• entity managing publicly-owned property Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft mbH

Subordinate agencies of the Directorate General Tourism & Historic Buildings are:

• entity managing publicly-owned palaces and castles Burghauptmannschaft Österreich, and
• entity managing publicly-owned movable treasures Bundesmobiliendepot.
