In order to mitigate the economic burden which arise from upbringing, looking after and providing for children, there are a series of benefits which are paid by the Family Equalisation Fund. The same levels of these transfer payments are made to all families regardless of their income situation and thus simultaneously have vertical redistribution effects in favour of households with medium- and lower-level incomes.
