Import Control
The import of industrial goods is generally not subject to any quantity-based restrictions in the European Union. However, there are import licensing and monitoring requirements in place for certain textile and clothing items as well as iron and steel products which derive from directly applicable EU law.
Acting as a European Union licensing authority, the BMWFJ (Division C2/2) supplies import licenses and monitoring documents upon request.
