Foreign trade data
Austria’s foreign trade data are key indicators for the development of the country’s economic structures and for the success of the Austrian export industry. These data can be used to compare Austria’s performance with that of European and non-European countries in many fields, and are an important decision-making basis for all economic players.
Note on the sources: in compiling data on Austrian foreign trade, the BMWFJ uses the basic data and results provided by Statistics Austria. The most important basic data for external trade by the European Union can be found on the website of the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat).
