Bilateral economic relations

Maintaining and strengthening bilateral economic relations and promoting exports is of enormous importance for small, open economies such as Austria’s. The Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth (BMWFJ) is engaged in an ongoing interchange with numerous business-oriented institutions both in Austria and abroad. In addition to promoting bilateral relations, this dialogue is geared to providing economic policy support to Austrian businesses operating abroad.

Regional economic relations

Within the framework of the European Territorial Cooperation Objective, the aim is to give Austrian businesses and organisations specific incentives for cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation.
