§ 185 of the Mineral Raw Materials Act (Mineralrohstoffgesetz, MinroG) as amended requires the Federal Minister of Economy, Family and Youth to use automation technology to maintain details of all parties holding mining rights, together with survey maps, and to prepare certain kinds of data in a form appropriate for publication on the internet.

Information on parties holding mining rights can be viewed and printed out in the form of a geographical map, and searches can be performed by place name and by party holding mining rights.
